Overview
The house is set apart in a private spot of an impressive estate belonging to a manor house. With a one bedroom, a large swimming pool and beautiful private grounds, it may already have much of what you are looking for.
After arriving at the property, down a 2.5 km rural track to parking alongside the property, you realize this is quite a magical spot.
The vegetation is rich and exuberant in this gorgeously secluded area of Andalucia.
The house inside is simple but attractive. It's the outside world here that gives such enjoyment.
Although you should only expect basic facilities at this property, you will undoubtedly get beautiful views and great well-being.
You also enjoy good privacy at this wholesome estate.
Two other holiday cottages are scattered around this 75-hectare estate but far enough not to have to see or hear others.
The property owners in the main farmhouse are out of sight but close enough if you need help. You are very much on your own, and the ambience is intimate.
This property will be included if we ever have a collection of ideal holiday properties for a digital detox. These places still exist!
The local area, Aracena National Park, has so much to offer.
It is always lovely to get to know a local village aside from the need for shopping or desire to eat out, and guests find the nearby little village Fuenteheridos charming,
Aracena town also has shops, terraces to sit out, and restaurants a-plenty. Above Aracena is a castle, but the most curious highlight is hidden underground: an extensive cave with stalactites and stalagmites that all ages will enjoy visiting.
For other days out, you might like to try Almonaster la Real for a 10th-century mosque that survived the Christian reconquest, And there's a train you can take through the old mines at Rio Tinto.
The border with Portugal is just 50 mins away, and famed, vivacious Seville is just over an hour.

In a country estate. Access down a 2.5 km rural track which can be negotiated with an ordinary car with reasonable clearance (but not low-slung sports cars).

We enjoyed staying at this property. Peace and quiet in great abundance. The track leading to the property from the main road was the only thing that put us off and restricted us from enjoying evenings out. I would not drive the track in the dark. Great if you have a 4WD. The property itself was quaint and the pool area really perfect for private swimming and sunbathing."
