Overview
This property offers us the rare opportunity to stay so close to the sea, with views you won't get anywhere else, in total privacy, with some excellent restaurants a short distance away and the Surfer's Mecca town of Tarifa around the corner.
The house has three bedrooms arranged in about 175 square metres.
The open-plan kitchen/dining area opens directly onto the furnished terrace and pool area, so it is all easy and at hand for you to enjoy the terrific scenery.
The pool is 6 metres long, so although it isn't the larger pool in our portfolio, it is an acceptable size considering everything else we get here.
We would love to stay here ourselves, possibly any time of the year, even if it may sometimes be windy; this place has a unique energy.
On our visit, we tried to figure out what would be more special, the sunset or the sunrise, and we were told that both are special; the sunset truly is spectacular.
The views to the Moroccan town of Tangiers are one of the highlights of the panorama. At night time, this town is known to be one of the brightest coastal towns in the world, so the display at night is also special.
Despite the seclusion of your holiday finca with 10,000 square metres of private grounds, what's even more exciting is that in 15 mins walk you can reach some of the most beautiful beaches in Spain.
To one side lies the unspoilt beach of Punta Paloma with its enormous dunes. You may also choose to drive for just over 10 minutes to the other side to visit Bolonia Beach, with its fascinating Roman ruins.
Both are renowned for their clear blue waters and expansive, golden beaches of the finest sand.
Less than 5 minutes drive from the house, we had the chance to eat at a lovely restaurant with some of the freshest fish we have ever had. The fish culture here won't allow any deep frying!
The entire area around you is a highly protected Natural Park called Parque Natural del Estrecho (The Strait Natural Park), a symbolic spot for nature lovers.
You'll be spoiled for choice with so many activities in this area. Staying at your villa, lounging by the pool or spending a morning at the beach is attractive, but there is so much more to do!
If you are active and like hiking, great walks start at your doorstep, and you don't need to drive.
The local restaurants are excellent, too; some are so close you can practically walk to them. If you are into good food, the property manager will point you in the right direction!
There are also local chic bars and clubs, and the ambience for younger people (and not so young) may be just as appealing as it would be somewhere in Ibiza.
Depending on the season, you can watch dolphins and even killer whales; this is one of the most popular activities here.
The fact that you can almost touch Africa from your villa also means you can easily visit Morocco for the day. The ferry to Tangiers from the nearby town of Tarifa is only 35 minute's away! You will be amazed to find such a different culture within just a few kilometres.

Parque Natural del Estrecho (Cádiz), where the de Mediterranean meets the Atlantic. Directly opposite Tangiers.
In open countryside directly over sandy beach. Access from Tarifa via the road to Valdevaquero dunes (the road is cleared by authorities from sand when windy); the last 600 metres are on a rural track.
