Luxury Catalonia villa with heated pool in pretty rural heartlands

Lovely property with everything you’d need. There is a House right next to this to this one owned by the same people so it can be a bit noisy or disruptive but it didn’t bother our holiday. About a 10 minute walk into the village which was lovely."

La ubicació de la casa un 10, vistes espectaculars i zona exterior molt agradable. Pel que fa a l'interior de la casa li caldrien certes millores, es veu que tota ella ja te uns anys de rodatge i li convindrien canvis, com també a la piscina. Justament al costat hi ha una altra casa més gran que, quan s'ha ocupat, hem perdut la pau que respiràvem quan estàvem sols. Això ho comento perquè al moment de llogar la casa no vam ser conscients de la proximitat de l'altra casa."

The villa is stunning and all of the fixtures and fittings are of a very high standard, it is an extremely comfortable space with everything you need . It is beautifully kept and the couple looking after it are so helpful - communication was excellent. The location is beautiful with stunning views and an easy walk to Cardona. Cardona itself was also a great find with great restaurants and small, local food shops. It is a very charming town. We were 2 families of four and the villa was a perfect size - it didn't feel cramped and the eating areas, both inside and out are spacious. The booking process was very easy and communication was excellent. I wholeheartedly recommend this villa and indeed Rustical Travel to anyone looking for a holiday in Spain. The company provided a lot of information about the area and directions were clear and easy to follow. The whole process went smoothly. I would definitely use them again and for Spain they would, without doubt, be my first choice."

We stayed in villa CA24 in mid October and were delighted the weather was still lovely and warm. The villa itself was excellent with jacuzzi style baths in almost every bedroom. The mountain scenery was simply amazing l, with just a short stroll along a picturesque country path into nearby Cardona. The heated pool was great too, just the right temperature (although you do have to cover it every night after use). The garden was spacious and the kitchen and it's facilities were very good. Overall we spent a very enjoyable 8 nights and would happily recommend it to anyone interested in a remote location getaway."

Lovely house, beautiful location, very helpful host. House has everything you need. Gardens and outside areas are spacious and great for kids to run around in. We are definitely thinking about returning. Cardona is a lovely town, about 20 minutes walk away- lovely bars, restaurants and shops."

We had an absolutely wonderful week at Property CA24. The house was perfect for our family of 8. It was very clean and well stocked. The hosts, Pilar and Miguel, were extremely accommodating and available to us when we had any questions or needs. The pool was clean and refreshing. The location perfectly suited our desire for a daily adventure while we had plenty of time to hang at the property and enjoy the views and peaceful farmland. I highly recommend this villa and its hosts."

We had a thoroughly enjoyable week in Cardona. The villa was extremely comfortable for our family of six and the entertaining space, suitable for bigger numbers, was very useful as we had family living nearby who came for a BBQ. A lot of thought had been given to the equipment, layout and interior design of this wonderful character house. Pool towels would have been useful. The seal on the oven door was broken and one of the fridges was not working effectively but it was the last week of the season, which may explain this. During our stay we visited the salt mine in Cardona, which was very interesting and the tour is available in English, if you enquire when these specific guides are available. We also had dinner in the Parador hotel (Cardona Castle) and the set price, three course meal was exceptionally good value at 30 euro per person. The setting is impressive and the service good. The walk into Cardona is enjoyable and does only take 20 minutes. It would be helpful to have a little map in the villa showing where to find this walk as it took us a few days to work it out! The food we pre ordered, for our first night's supper was really good quality and delicious and good value for money. A great idea to make life easy on arrival."

The photos do not do this property justice - it is exceptionally equipped and very comfortable. We have been away with many companies on our family self catering trips, but Rustical Travel are simply the best we have experienced - the attention to detail before the trip was outstanding and their properties are clearly very well looked after.
