Superb 10th century villa with indoor & outdoor pools near Spanish Pyrenees

We truly felt like Kings and Queens in our very own castle floating among the foothills of the Pyrenees. It is a beautifully renovated property with amazing facilities. We really didn't stray very far as we took advantage of the many different spaces to chill, read, eat, swim and play. We would love to return one day."

We had a wonderful stay with 3 families (6 adults and 8 children (9 - 16 yrs)) this July. The property is spacious and its unique history and ancient vaults provide a unique atmosphere. Also unique is the privacy the property provides: from whatever window in the house or place on the property you look, you see nothing but the beautiful green mountainous landscape of the Pyrenees. The pool area is fantastic with its natural umbrella trees, just as the spacious dinner area with BBQ grill (if we'd have to suggest and improvement, it would be adding a second set of crockery and cutlery for the dinner area and renewal of the dishwasher there). Our kids had great fun in the games room. In short, an unforgettable stay and a place to get back to."

Our family of fourteen including six grandchildren had a great time. The house is characterful and the pools great fun. Our only suggestion would be to extend the size of the kitchen and equip it more thoroughly."

Our host, Francesc, did everything possible to make us comfortable and happy. The property is amazing, the scenery fabulous, and the skies at night are unbeatable with galaxies clearly visible. My only regret is that walking was not permitted in the nearby woods, and we never did find the wild pool referred to by other reviewers. However, we did enjoy kayaking locally and further afield canyoning and mountain biking. A beautiful location and a holiday to remember for us all, thank you Fransesc."

The house was something very magical. Not only was it nestled in the foothills of some beautiful mountains but it also had all the facilities to keep 11 people entertained for a week! Which is a lot if u know my family. Waking to breakfast on the balcony and lounging in the evenings round the inside table was something quite brilliant. Perfect for big family get togethers and special occasions. The pools were lovely as was the hidden wild swimming, as well as this it was a great joy to play table tennis when it was raining. I recommend this house wholeheartedly, it has all the charm of the past with all the trimmings of luxury."

The house was fabulous! It was as beautiful as the photos! Everything was as we hoped. Our host, Francesc could not do enough to make our stay perfect! He was superb. The quiet was unexpected and welcome. All we heard was rushing water at the absolutely pristine stream, birds and cicadas. It was so peaceful. The kitchen was well equipped. The pool was clean. The bedrooms were comfortable. The museum was an added bonus and much appreciated! All in all we loved it! May be the best holiday we have ever had! We hope to be back soon. (The only drawback was the flies. The house would benefit by adding screens to the kitchen windows. No other insects bothered us.)"

We arrived to be amazed at the sheer wonder and beauty of this tranquil villa and the surrounding area, we were awestruck! We met the owner who showed us around and we soon learned the property has a lot of interesting history. The interior layout made you know you were staying somewhere very special, we loved it!! It is very clean and is very well stocked with everything you need for a luxury vacation, the pool was magical under the hot sun! We had a truly wonderful stay here we felt everything was just perfect! Thank you to the owners and thank you to Rustical Travel whose arrangements were easy with no fuss and was a pleasure to deal with, we would certainly use these guys again."

We adored Villa CA35! It is a truly stunning house in a breathtaking setting. Every bedroom is gorgeous. And taking in the views from any of the balconies was wonderful. The pool area is very pretty. Fransesc and his son Joan took good care of us, not only with regard to the villa, but also offer advice about the area. We also really appreciated how well stocked the Villa was. The kitchen was fully loaded with dishes, glasses, cook ware, and every room has lots of extra blankets and towels. It was a wonderful experience to stay in such a historical villa and we all really miss it!"

The service from staff at Rustical Travel was perfect. They always responded promptly to my questions, were polite, friendly and professional. The host was also fantastic. He was on time, helpful and kind. I couldn't have hoped for a better host. His English was good enough and he was patient with my bad spanish. The house was beyond expectations and looked even better than in the pictures. I had one of the best holidays of my life and I wouldn't hesitate to book a holiday with Rustical Travel again.
