Overview
This ambitious renovation speaks to the dedication of its owners, who have blended authentic charm with modern comforts to create a truly special getaway.
Setting and Atmosphere
Perched amidst breathtaking scenery, this property offers a unique, secluded retreat with panoramic views that will captivate anyone seeking peace and beauty. Surrounded by nature, the farmhouse breathes history, with exquisite attention to detail evident in every room. If your idea of a holiday is staying somewhere genuinely unique, where each corner tells a story, this villa is a perfect match.
Luxury Touches with Authentic Character
The property is well-equipped with excellent facilities, though it falls just short of the luxury top end due to a few factors—some beds are standard doubles, and not all rooms have en suite bathrooms. Despite this, it’s a striking villa that many would consider luxury-worthy.
Underfloor heating makes winter cosy and inviting, while thick stone walls keep summer temperatures cool.
The villa’s expansive kitchen is a standout feature, equipped with dual fridges, a double sink, and ample storage space, ideal for self-catering stays. While cooking here is a joy, the nearby village restaurant is highly recommended, as are several other restaurants in surrounding villages like Moià, where traditional Catalan cuisine awaits.
Spaces for Connection and Relaxation
Each living area in the villa is beautifully designed, with spaces perfect for gathering or unwinding. The upstairs multipurpose room has its charms, and the option to use it as a cinema room, complete with a projector and streaming options, adds a touch of refined entertainment.
Outside, you’ll find furnished terraces and carefully maintained fields, perfect for enjoying Catalonia’s landscape. Beyond the immediate grounds, 30 hectares of private woodland invite exploration. Currently, the property does not have a swimming pool, though one is planned for 2025. Until then, a serene lake with a picnic area 6 km away provides a delightful alternative for wild swimming and relaxation.
Local Charm and Stunning Views
The views from the property are simply stunning, with Montserrat and Montseny mountains visible on clear days. The immediate surroundings are equally impressive, with Sant Llorenç del Munt i l'Obac National Park nearby, offering a landscape of craggy red rock formations and lush forests. This area’s nearby villages are steeped in history, complete with well-preserved castles that add to the region’s appeal.
Our view
For those seeking a tranquil escape in an unspoiled natural setting, this farmhouse is a rare find. It’s just 50 kilometres from the vibrant energy of Barcelona, yet worlds away in terms of peace and charm. This retreat is an unforgettable experience that offers both relaxation and the chance to connect with Catalonia’s rich history and landscapes.
