Notes on layout
Although we found the property and grounds suitable for children, the only place where this could be improved is the first section of the stairs from the ground floor to the first floor, which are unprotected and may not be ideal for very small children.

Accessibly via a winding country lane, the road offers passage to a neighbouring village; the route remains a quiet byway, far from the clamour of main roads.
On clear days, the first-floor terraces and master bedroom treat you to panoramic views of the exotic Medas Islands—a picturesque touch that elevates your stay.
There are also views of the Foixá Castle from the first floor, so the views from the master bedroom are memorable.
Our visit on a cloudy winter day revealed an impeccably clean and thoughtfully organized welcoming interior, making it an ideal retreat for families for any time of year.
The first-floor kitchen, with direct terrace access, provides a delightful culinary space. Recognizing the desire for alfresco dining, an additional kitchen on the ground floor, conveniently located near the barbecue area for outdoor meals, now complements the experience.
While not traditional, the above-ground 4-metre diameter pool boasts a robust filtration system and automated cleaning, ensuring a pristine environment throughout the swimming season. Child safety is a priority, which is evident in the gated pool area.
Further enhancing the experience is the dedication of the local manager, who is committed to delivering a service of the highest quality. A wealth of local insights awaits, adding depth to your exploration of this remarkable region, known for its picturesque landscapes, blending the beauty of the Mediterranean Sea with rolling hills, vineyards, and historic towns.
Within walking distance, a charming village beckons with a restaurant and a basic supermarket, while a short drive opens doors to bakeries, quality butchers, and acclaimed restaurants. A mere 20-minute drive leads to La Escala, renowned for its world-class anchovies, offering a taste of the splendid Costa Brava beaches.

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful property. I couldn't fault the house, it was spotlessly clean, well equipped and the beds were comfortable. Huge thanks to Rosa who met us at the property and showed us around. It was a great comfort knowing she was on hand if needed. The house itself is huge! There were just 4 of us, but it could have easily accommodated 2 families. I loved that there were so many places you could sit and read a book - I especially loved the library 'nook.' The grounds too are superb. It was a really tranquil location and the views from the house are stunning. Given that the areas by the coast can be really busy in the height of summer, it was wonderful to have a tranquil oasis of calm to return to after sightseeing. The pool was clean, and although not huge, was perfect for cooling off. The location is fantastic. Just 20 minutes drive to L'Estartit with its beach and port, from where you can take many boat trips which take you around the Medes Islands and up the coast. There are so many gorgeous little coves to discover all along the coast and some charming local villages to see. We could easily have spent another week here. We'll definitely be back!"
