Notes on facilities
Due to fire risk, outdoor barbecue meals are usually restricted during the dry months. In these cases, the staff can prepare indoor barbecues for you.
The self-catering facilities are for the use of the staff; this is a fully catered villa. Although the staff is a non-resident (they live in the nearby village) they come at arranged times to cook for you.
The underfloor heating also works in Summer as a cooling system (if needed).

Prices include breakfast: artisan's sponge cake, bread selection, free-range eggs; fresh juice; locally made butter; yoghurt with toppings, coffee etc.

Overview
We are excited to have added to our portfolio a villa in one of Central Spain's most exhilarating natural areas: Gredos National Park.
This estate is set in one of the most stunning enclaves of this protected National Park, quite close to Madrid province and surrounded by high mountains but in a climate with a tropical feel where lemon and orange trees thrive with the Almanzor peak, with 2,600 metres altitude and topped snow most of the year, as an alpine backdrop.
The natural beauty here does not only come from the impressive sharp peaks of Gredos but looking south, the views to Rosarito lake reservoir are just as terrific and relaxing.
Despite feeling so remote and away from it all, you are only a 5-minute drive from a mountain village with the most facilities.
If the location sold us this property, the actual property and its outdoor areas would be just as gorgeous.
It is easy to enjoy, all arranged on one floor, beautifully decorated with doors in practically every room opening on to patio, terraces or gardens, and with an organic and attractive layout that allows you to move around with little effort.
The additional 2-bedroom casita annexe is only 20 metres away at a slightly lower level but with privacy from the main house.
This fully catered villa is designed so guests don't use the kitchen, and the local team prepares all meals for you.
You get the same services as a 5-star hotel, but the villa is just for you, with no shared facilities and staff non-residents who just come to provide services for you at the arranged times.
Booking this property is not just another holiday rental but a lifetime experience, and you just come here to relax and have fun; the local team will do the rest!
The facilities are technologically advanced, with intelligent control via iPad for anything like a music system or heating.
We would love to stay here any time of year, and each season offers a different and exciting experience. In Winter, the local team lit the fires for you to make the place cosy from early morning.
In Summer, playing outdoor music in the evening on the terrace with some cocktails prepared for the local team for you or enjoying the morning breeze with a beautifully crafted breakfast is such a treat.
We know this will be one of the holiday villas in our portfolio where guests usually only want to go somewhere, but the fantastic options for days out in nature are worth mentioning.
If there is, a reason why Gredos is famous around Spain is for its great wild swimming river spots. From this location and in a short drive, we can find unspoilt places to jump into the river.
But much more can be arranged locally: horseriding, trekking, challenging climbing, kayaking or biking. If you like something more relaxed, the Rosarito lake reservoir is known for excellent bird watching.
Please note that in this estate, there are some donkeys and chickens. The chicken run provides guests with eggs for breakfast.
There are also two lovely Labrador dogs in the estate, which run freely around. You can ask the property managers to move these dogs away from the estate or leave them while you stay here. It is entirely up to you. As many guests love these two sweet dogs and feel they provide a homely feel, it has become an option whether you wish the dogs to stay during your stay. Please rest assure that what's important here is that you feel this is a home away from home.

In open countryside, nestled at the foot of Pico Almanzor (the highest mountain in Gredos). Access by a 1 km rural track with some bumps, but you only need an ordinary car.
