This property is set in a private estate with two houses: one belongs to the owner, and the other is the guest house advertised here. There are private areas, but part of the extensive garden area is shared with the owner. The owner respects your privacy.
The owner only uses the swimming pool when not in use by guests, or when guests are away.

Overview
Location is key, and this property, nestled in the serene countryside of Galicia, does not disappoint. Just 20 minutes from pristine sandy beaches and picturesque fishing villages and only 10 minutes from the historic town of Pontevedra, this holiday home offers the perfect balance between rural tranquillity and easy access to the region's most iconic sites.
The property itself exudes old-world charm, with the owner living discreetly on the opposite side of the gardens. During our visit, we found the estate lush and meticulously maintained, providing a peaceful setting for families.
Despite the proximity of the owner's residence, privacy is well-respected, and the outdoor spaces are thoughtfully designed to ensure guests feel they have their own space within the estate.
Families will particularly enjoy the large outdoor areas, which include a fenced pool, plenty of space for children to play, and a traditional Galician hórreo (an ancient grain storage structure) that has been creatively repurposed as a playhouse for younger guests.
The property also offers facilities for outdoor dining, including a private barbecue area, as well as spaces for table tennis and basketball, ensuring plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained.
Inside, the home is both cosy and elegant, with the living area and the master bedroom boasting expansive windows that frame views of the beautifully landscaped gardens. We were especially impressed by the natural light flooding these spaces, offering a constant connection with the vibrant greenery outside.
In the summer, guests can take advantage of the natural shade provided by surrounding vineyards, creating a lovely environment for alfresco meals. This shaded terrace area was described to us as a favourite spot for families to gather and enjoy the pleasant Galician weather.
The location also offers great accessibility. A short drive will take you to the coastal towns and historical sites that make this region so special. If you prefer to stay close to home, the local hamlet offers an authentic Galician experience, complete with a traditional bar and a scenic river walk just 1 km from the house.
Galicia is famed for its culinary delights, and this property is situated in an area known for its Furanchos. These are seasonal, rustic bars where local families open their homes to sell homemade wine and serve traditional dishes such as empanadas and chorizo. Originally a way to sell excess wine, Furanchos now offer a warm, informal atmosphere where visitors can enjoy a taste of true Galician hospitality.
For seafood lovers, the nearby fishing villages are a must-visit, boasting some of the freshest seafood in the world. Whether indulging in the local cuisine or exploring the beautiful coastlines, this property serves as an ideal base for your Galician adventure.
