There is no WiFi at this property. We found mobile signal outside the house but not inside.
There is currently not a kettle (November 2021) but property owner plans to buy one soon.

Overview
Come to Liebana, the eastern side of Picos de Europa, to feel you are in a fairy tale landscape. The backdrop to your holiday home is a mountain full of promises from hobbits to brown bears. Here you can really escape from the world and feel held by the cradle of mountains and the beauty of nature.
Your holiday house made of steady, beautiful stone is the idyllic Spanish mountain rertreat. Set in a popular holiday area where you usually only find apartments, it is a luxury to find a detached house such as this with a garden.
The house has been refurbished and you will be comfortable, and you will also enjoy the rustic touches of the wooden floors, beams and those sensational stones.
The garden has two levels and a barbeque. It is very sweet and to be honest it is just heaven to be sitting out amongst the green, intense Picos, breathing in clean and hearty air. Strongly reccommended!
As there wasn’t an internet provider that could guarantee good service, the property owner preferred not to provide a service that, could prove to be unreliable. Inside the property mobile coverage may be rather limited but when we were outside we did get coverage.
Lon, your local village is a five minute walk downhill. It may take a little longer when you walk back up! It has one restaurant which has been a reliable place to eat out for many years now.
Once you have relaxed and you feel sufficiently at peace in your mountain cottage you can think about where you would like to explore. Because one on the main attractions of this holiday house is the location!
Potes, a beautiful, medieval market town is just a ten minutes drive away. Whilst, Fuente De is an exhilarating day out, where you can go right up to high dramatic peaks in a cable car. We found the top quite overwhelming but truely staggering views.
Or, a marvellous day out is kayaking in one of the lovely Cantabrian rivers. At the end of the excursion we felt very happy to accept the glass of local cider offered by our guide!
The fantastic beaches of Cantabria are just under an hour away and conjure up long lost days of pirates and smuggling.
To be honest you are spoilt for days out and we are sure that this holiday cottage will be a great choice!
Location
In a beautiful green valley of Liebana region with superb views to Picos de Europa summits.
Just above the mountain village with some steep streets and sharp bends to get to the property (perhaps it is best to avoid large vehicles like vans). The distance to this Liebana village is about 200 metres.

We had a wonderful week in this holiday home. The house is very quiet, located at the end of the road in a small village. The view from the garden is phenomenal. In good weather, you can spend hours looking at the beautiful mountains and the stunning cloud formations. The house is basically furnished, but it is clean and has a modern bathroom. One point of attention for us would be the kitchen utensils. Washing up is often required because there is a limited number of utensils. Furthermore, the house is quite dark on the ground floor. This is probably due to the location of the house and the small windows. Even on sunny days, we had to turn on the lights downstairs. The sun also only reaches the terrace directly next to the house in the middle of the afternoon. A plus for us was that, although we were prepared for a week without WiFi, there is now a connection that works perfectly."

+ Read moreThe only real drawback was the parking. It is not reasonable to expect the car to park near the gate. It is impossibly steep and narrow and passing tractors would certainly have damaged the car. Getting in and out of the car, opening and closing the doors is impossible due to the steepness. We parked nearby on the neighbour, Danielle's nettle patch. But we could not rely that it would be available after driving all the way up."
