While the studio may seem modest in terms of facilities—it doesn’t include a dishwasher, TV, or washing machine—it has all the essentials for a comfortable stay: air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a gas barbecue, and a swimming pool with private use for guests. For laundry, Órgiva town offers convenient services just a short drive away.
One of the standout aspects of staying in this studio is the sense of privacy and independence it offers within your own cottage and garden area.
The swimming pool is about 20 metres away from your private gardens and close to the parking area in an intimate corner. It is sheltered by tropical plants but has views.
Although the respectful owners live in a separate cottage across your private gardens, they’ve carefully defined guest spaces and take a discreet approach, allowing you to enjoy your surroundings undisturbed.
Their easygoing nature and consideration are a real asset to the experience.
The property also serves as a good base for exploring the region. Day trips to the high Alpujarras villages, the beaches at Salobreña, or even Granada are all within easy reach, and access to and from the estate is straightforward.
This is not a luxury villa, but rather a calm and honest rural hideaway.

In countryside location, 3 km from Orgiva Market town; the last 150 metres are on a rural track. All you need is an ordinary car.

We had a fantastic week at Diane and Doug’s Casita. It’s essentially a very spacious studio, beautifully furnished and with an excellent bed. The insect screens on the windows and the quiet air conditioning meant we slept extremely well. We cooked most evenings using the hob, oven and barbecue — the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. We spent the majority of our time outdoors, as the garden is lush, green, peaceful and beautifully maintained. There’s a lovely outdoor dining area and sun loungers too. The pool looked very inviting, though we must admit we didn’t actually use it — we were more than content relaxing in the shade of the garden’s trees. Diane and Doug were friendly and full of useful local information about Órgiva and the surrounding area, yet also discreet — we really felt we had our own private space within the property. In the first couple of days we had some trouble with intermittent WiFi, but Doug quickly upgraded the system and I can confirm it now works perfectly well. We’re already looking forward to returning.
