Overview
Nestled in an exceptional location near the Portuguese border, this property offers a unique opportunity to explore the rich cultural tapestry of both southern Spain and the Alentejo region of Portugal. The ease of crossing the border expands your horizons, with National Parks, charming villages, and scenic landscapes within arm’s reach. On the Spanish side, you’ll find picturesque villages just a five-minute drive away, complete with bakeries, supermarkets, excellent restaurants, and pristine natural pools open during the hotter months. For those who enjoy wild swimming and waterfalls, the Portuguese side boasts some stunning options.
A Holiday Villa That Excels in Comfort
The villa itself is a testament to thoughtful design and comfort. Spacious and filled with natural light, it welcomes guests with impeccable cleanliness and an intuitive layout. Every room and bedroom opens onto a terrace, porch, or patio, creating seamless indoor-outdoor living. The high sliding glass panels are not only functional but also add a touch of architectural elegance.
One standout feature is the exceptional quality of the sleeping arrangements. Twin beds here are not the usual single size but double beds, ensuring unmatched comfort even for solo sleepers. This attention to detail makes a significant difference, elevating the experience to a true luxury standard.
This single-storey property is particularly well-suited for groups of adults, offering a refined and “civilized” atmosphere while also being family-friendly. It has earned its place in our luxury collection, with decor that feels curated and personal, steering well clear of generic furnishings.
It is equipped with an underfloor heating and cooling system, which we are told works amazingly, keeping a delightful temperature any time of year without the noise of traditional AC machines.
An Olive Oil Haven
The villa is set within a private finca that produces some of the finest extra virgin olive oil. This activity enhances rather than detracts from your tranquillity and privacy. Guests are invited to learn more about the estate’s operations, visit the olive mill, and even sample this outstanding product, adding a unique and authentic touch to your stay.
Practical and Private
Convenience is key, and the villa delivers on this front, with parking just a few metres from the property for a stress-free arrival and departure. The gardens, a short stroll from the house, passing by ancient cork oaks, some over 300 years old, lead to a stunning infinity pool surrounded by serene natural beauty.
On the way to the pool, we find the barbecue area, a superb spot with self-catering facilities, so there's no need to bring things over from the kitchen!
The pool area offers a private retreat for relaxation, further elevating the sense of exclusivity this property provides. The large swimming pool is infinity and cascades over an additional splash pool at a lower level—what an exclusive place!
Who is this Villa For?
This is an ideal choice for those seeking a balance between luxury, nature, and cultural exploration. Whether you’re a family looking for a comfortable and inspiring base or a group of adults eager to relax in style, this property has everything you need for a memorable holiday. Its prime location offers easy access to both Spanish and Portuguese attractions, while the villa’s exceptional comfort and unique olive oil experience make it truly special.
