Summary
This bright, happy villa is well designed for holidays to a luxurious level. The property certainly reminded us of a quality Moroccan Riad, finished with a lovely style and equipped with good standards to satisfy holidaymakers need. Sleeps 6/8.

Presented with a luxurious simplicity, this holiday property offers an irresistible infinity pool with breathtaking views.
There is plenty of space for just six people to indulge in this stylish property.
Attractive and bright, the patio is the heart of the property, all designed around it. It reflects the very best of the Mediterranean outdoor living culture.
It is precisely the layout that we thought to be one of the most attractive points of this villa; it is all so wonderfully arranged around the patio. The kitchen, next to the patio, is practical for serving meals al fresco.
The property inside is ample and airy; there is no cramming feel.
The master bedroom is another highlight of this holiday villa. Arrange on one level, on the lower ground floor, with its own living area opening to the terraces and swimming pool; it is like a super suite.
When we took this property in our books in 2023, we were made aware this was selected by The Times (UK) as one of the Top 10 best villas in Spain in 2019. We certainly thought on our visit that it is an irresistible holiday place!
Perhaps we would have expected air con for a luxury villa, but there are fans, and we were assured these are usually enough to sleep comfortably at night.
There are no natural lawned gardens, but you are on your own on 26 acres of private wooded grounds so you can expect excellent natural greenery and seclusion. The villa photos will tell you the story!
Location
In the early folds of the Ronda mountains, not far from the Mediterranean sea.
In an intimate wooded location with excellent views. Accessed by a rural track of approx. 1 km. The last 100 metres are steepish with some bumps but manageable with an ordinary car. The property is approx. 4,5 km away from Gaucin village (around 5 minutes drive) and 5 km from Benarrabá village.

Various terraces and always possible to find shade somewhere.We had a cross-section of ages from 5 months to 78 years and everyone loved the house, garden, pool and views.We have stayed at around 15 houses in the Gaucin area over the years. Most have been lovely but needed a bit of TLC. Poorly equipped, fridges not cold enough etc. Bougonvilla is completely up to speed and everything works. There is even an ice machine in the freezer.The big question: Would we return?A huge YES. We booked for next year before leaving. This will be the first time we have ever returned to a rental property. Casa Bougonvilla really is a very special place.
