Boutique village house in private location walking distance to facilities

We have stayed in this property for three consecutive years. We love the location, the simple yet sophisticated design of the house, and the relaxing atmosphere of town."

We loved everything about our stay in this beautiful villa in Gaucin. The house is perfect for two couples. We were lucky enough to have sunshine everyday during our week in April, so most of our time at the house was spent on the dining Terrace outside of the kitchen or on the level below at the pool. The design of the outside space has been so well thought out – it is the perfect place for a week of calm and relaxation. My favourite pastime was lying on the shaded mattresses by the pool, reading a book and watching the Eagles and Vultures flying above. Sundowners looking out at the spectacular views out towards the coast of Africa was a close second as was breakfast on the little terrace outside our bedroom which has the best views of all. We couldn’t get enough of the views. The house has one of the best positions in the village. It is on the outskirts so maximises the views and peace, yet it is only 5 minutes stroll to nearest shops and easy walk to all the restaurants. We had wonderful meals at El Platero and La fructose in Gaucin as well as the local tapas bars. The Forge, just outside the town of Casares is also a winner. To offset all the food and relaxation we did some great walks in the surrounding areas. There are some good walking guides in the house. We all agreed that whilst staring at the beauty of El Hatcho was a great evening pastime, the climb up it and circumventing it on the way down was also well worth it. Booking through Rustical travel was very easy and people were always on hand to answer queries or sort out any minor issues that occurred in the house. The owner left us a gorgeous display of fresh fruit don arrival as well as some local delicacies in the fridge including a bottle of wine. We felt warmly welcomed. All four of us agreed we will be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay."

Spent a week here in October and loved every minute of it. The house is gorgeous, beautifully decorated and and looked after. We felt at home in no time and had a most relaxing week. The location is also great and only a short walk to the shops and restaurants etc."

It is difficult to find all the words to express how lovely this property is. The house is clean and spacious, the outside area allows for plenty of relaxing time and the swimming pool wonderful. That's before mentioning the spectacular views, the amazing experience of eagles regularly flying over and the very kind and helpful local service from Isabel, the local lady on hand to help with any issues or requests. And then there is the fantastic village of Gaucin itself. Important things to note - it is very much a teenager and adult place. The terms of use state this and it's clear why. The parking and access is definitely tight should you arrive is a SUV or any reasonably large car. The roads are narrow and the garage gate only just big enough. But all manageable. These though are minor compared to the overall experience. Could not recommend this property high enough. We had the most fabulous holiday there."

This year we chose to stay at the same property for the second time. The design of the house has a lot of character --it is beautiful, chic and understated, and the mood very relaxed......Every corner is special, private and can be peacefully enjoyed. We lot course love the easy access to town."

Everything about this house was beautiful, the views wwere breathtaking as the house is perched high on the edge of the village with views stretching as far as Gibraltar on a clear day. The layout and design of the house reflects the owners who have impecable taste and an eye for art . We would like to thank them for sharing their creation as we thourpugbly enjoyed ourselves there. We literally spent a week relaxing by the pool. We will definitely return."

This was our first time using Rustical Travel and overall we were very impressed. Marta handled the booking request and turned it around very quickly. The villa was impeccable, in a charming village with great views. The only way our trip could have been improved is if the person who greeted us at the property could speak English. We managed the communication process using whatsapp and google translate, which was fine for simple communications, but would have bee potentially problematic if anything more complex had been required."

Fantastic location. Views from the property stunning. Beautiful house. Full of personal detail, furnishings, materials superb. The house had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Outdoor spaces, terraces lovely. Communication with Juan at Rustical travel was great throughout the process of booking. Information given prior to travelling was very helpful.Isabel was also very helpful, particularly when we had a problem with hot water supply on xmas day. She organised someone very quickly to sort out the problem. That is impressive!! Loved our stay and we will return, when we can."

This property in the pretty village of Gaucin is simply wonderful. The owner was a really welcoming and generous host. There is so much to admire about this house from the fantastic art work to the quality furniture and fittings. Real thought has been given to the layout, how best to enjoy the house and outside space. We loved the pagoda for dinning and the pool is a great size with loads of space to relax, plus the outdoor shower on the balcony overlooking the stunning view was great fun. Fantastic facilities and spotlessly clean, we are a family of 4, kids were 8 10 we spent two weeks here and it wasn't enough, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. We booked during spring 2020 with heavy travel restrictions and complications across Europe and Rustical Travel were brilliant, despite having to deal with many problems and uncertainties they had a huge amount of patience and I found them very easy to deal with an accommodating. It was a difficult time to book and travel but they definitely took some of the stress away. A big thank you to Javier and the rest of the team."
