The patio/pool area can be accessed directly from the first floor's living room and the ground floor via external stairs.
Overview
This attractively designed three-floor village house is on one of the pretty streets in Gaucin, a picturesque street with views down to the sea.
The property is arranged on three floors, with one bedroom and a bathroom on each floor, and it can comfortably sleep up to 6 people.
The bedrooms on the first and second floors seemed superior because they had terraces with beautiful views, but the ground floor with en suite facilities following the kitchen/dining room was also a good bedroom.
On the first floor, at the back of the house, the living area opens to the patio with a private pool. This patio area can be accessed from both the ground and the first floors.
The private patio with natural shade is a beautiful spot for relaxing and feeling lazy. The pool is 6 metres long and large enough not to be considered just a plunge pool.
Although other neighbouring houses may overlook the patio, we still found this outdoor area intimate enough and certainly inviting.
Although this is not one of the luxury Gaucin villas, it is still a perfectly adequate, relaxing little place for those who want to enjoy village life without driving.
You are within easy walking distance; you can enjoy tapas, bars, restaurants, shops, etc., and start lovely walking routes from the village.
For the odd day out, the Mediterranean beaches of Sabinillas are 30 minutes away, and the majestic Ronda town is 45 minutes away.

We had a lovely week in Gaucin, our favourite place to go on holiday. First time in this house though. The web description and photos are accurate and it's a pretty house with a beautiful garden. The kitchen was well equipped. A few niggles: There was no information pack in the house. Thankfully we know the village well so didn't need recommendations but we were surprised there was no information about things like doctors or what to do with rubbish. We asked prior to arrival if there would be any food left. We were correctly told there would be nothing, but told we'd be able to stop off at a supermarket en route. However they were all closed! Seems they close at 3pm on Sundays. Thankfully we had some biscuits with us and a dinner reservation that night! The pool area is small but adequate. It's a shame that there were only two sunloungers for a house that sleeps six! And the pool is shaded until the afternoon. It's also really hard to get into, the steps are deep and there's no handrail. Might be worth pointing this out - anyone with mobility issues would really struggle! We didn't find it hard to park up by the cemetery, always found an empty spot. It's quite a steep walk up to that point - again not easy if your knees aren't too great! Rustical Travel's guide to the village is very out of date - the 'new' restaurant has been closed for about ten years! In short, it's a nice house but could be improved with a few little changes!"

Brilliantly stocked with everything you could need from kitchen to garden furniture, gas barbecue, books and games. Erika, the host was most helpful guiding us to the house through the maze of streets and prompt to respond to any problems. The pool was just big enough for our teenage kids to play in and us to cool off. So many different areas to relax in from bedroom balconies and terraces to watch the sun go down to cosy snugs for reading in the lounge. Short walk to restaurants and up to the castle. Parking possible nearby. One of the best places we have ever stayed. Highly recommended."
