Overview
Rolling up in Spring 2018, we were surprised that it took us so long to make a match with this epic luxury lodge set against the backdrop of the gorgeous Grazalema Mountains.
Despite our recent introduction to this spacious stunning property, the owners have been in business for years and appear to be dab hands when it comes to offering indulgent holidays and helping to organize events.
As soon as we parked beside the shimmering pond and peeped around the corner, we were already smitten.
The manicured lawns seem to go for miles, the generous 15-metre pool is endlessly enticing, and the accommodation gathers around a pretty courtyard – perfect for shady lunches in the high heat of the afternoon.
The thoughtful layout of the villa captures that sweet spot between accommodating large families and groups of friends, but still having plenty of space and tucked away corners for those who want some down time away from the action.
Endless indoor and outdoor tables, terraces and lounging spots invite quality time together, but expansive grounds, well dotted sun loungers and terrace access from the bedrooms means there is always a place to stretch out with the latest summer bestseller.
Stepping inside and its clear the property owners have exquisite taste. Tasteful furnishings, dreamy details, and well-placed touches add a bright and homely vibe.
Unlike many other luxurious villas, this one feels beautifully stylish without the stuffiness.
Each bedroom boasts similar facilities as you would expect to find in a boutique hotel – only without the distraction of TV’s.
While there is Wi-Fi throughout, you will only find one television set in the communal space of the lower floor.
We adored all the bedrooms, but the one that commanded the most attention had to be the master suite. This would clearly be the choice for the bride and groom for those who choose to celebrate a wedding in this divine spot. The master suite is a vision of warm wooden floors, lofty ceilings, and soft Egyptian cotton.
Each room is ensuite, has its own key, and boasts its own outside space.
The open plan living, kitchen and dining areas can also be found just across the courtyard.
The kitchen is expertly equipped, even offering MasterChef’s the use of some industrial equipment. For those who prefer simpler dining fare -worry not; the space is practical and easy to use.
The surrounding nature makes for stunning scenery at every turn. From the wooded ravine to the cultivated hills and out in the distance – the looming mountains.
The privacy is unrivalled and even though the property managers live on the estate, they are at a distance – close enough to be on hand but far enough not to notice.
While the extensive estate has everything you need to stay put, the little village of Arriate is only five minutes away and boasts some great restaurants.
The historic town of Ronda is right on your doorstep too, at only a fifteen-minute drive.

Location
In a valley located on the edge of the Serrania de Ronda (Ronda mountains).
In a large hacienda of evergreen oaks in the Ronda Mountains with panoramic views of Grazalema and Sierra de las Nieves. The access is via a 500 metre rural track (not steep), all you need is an ordinary car.

Waw. I don't even know where to start. I looked at many photos of this place before we arrived and I really didn’t think it would be as beautiful in real life but The Lodge Ronda is absolutely stunning. The house itself is beautiful, clean and well maintained. Every room is spacious with gorgeous decor and furniture. What makes this places special is the breath taking scenery. It really is hard to capture its true beauty in photos, you really have to be there to believe it and take it all in. We honestly can’t thank each of you enough!
